Compute where it fits — public, private or dedicated

Cloud & Compute

Every workload has a home that suits it: public cloud, private virtualisation or dedicated hardware. Scalenta designs, sizes and runs compute environments around your requirements — and is straight with you when the answer is not the one being sold hardest.

Overview

Compute decisions get permanent very quickly. The provider, the instance shapes, the storage tiers and the network design you pick today become the constraints you live with tomorrow — and the bill you have to explain to someone else.

Scalenta takes a workload-first approach. We look at what actually runs, what it needs to be resilient to, and what it costs at scale. Then we design a compute environment — public cloud, virtualised private infrastructure or dedicated servers — and operate it under a clear scope.

Scope

What this covers

  • Public cloud infrastructure

Design and build on the major public cloud platforms, with architecture that follows your operational reality.

  • Private & virtualised compute

Dedicated virtualisation hosts for workloads that need isolation, predictable cost or specific data handling.

  • Dedicated & bare-metal servers

Physical servers for performance-sensitive or licensing-sensitive workloads — sourced, built and managed.

  • Infrastructure-as-a-Service design

Networking, storage and compute shaped into an environment your team can actually operate.

  • GPU & AI compute

Accelerator capacity for AI, graphics and HPC — scoped from our GPU Instances catalogue and delivered through verified partners.

  • Sizing & capacity planning

Right-sizing from real utilisation data, with growth headroom planned rather than panic-bought.

Approach

How we work on this

  1. STEP 01

    Understand the workload

What runs, what it talks to, what breaks when it is slow, and what it costs today.

  2. STEP 02

    Design options

A proposed architecture with alternatives where trade-offs exist — performance, resilience, cost, lock-in.

  3. STEP 03

    Build & operate

We stand it up, migrate what needs moving, and manage it within an agreed scope.

What good looks like

Outcomes we aim for

  • Compute sized to the workload — not to a quota.
  • Vendor-neutral proposals: public cloud, private or dedicated, with reasons.
  • Capacity planned from utilisation data, with growth headroom.
  • One operating process across hybrid environments.

FAQ

Common questions

Are you locked into one cloud provider?
No. We work across the major public platforms and partner infrastructure, and we design so critical workloads are not unnecessarily dependent on a single vendor's quirks. Where lock-in buys you something real, we will say so.
Can you manage cloud accounts we already have?
Usually yes, starting with an assessment and appropriate access. We review what is running, how it is governed and what the current spend looks like before proposing changes.
Can you provide GPU or AI infrastructure?
Yes — we maintain a GPU Instances catalogue covering eleven NVIDIA accelerator models, from H200 to RTX Pro 6000. Capacity is sourced through verified partners and scoped case by case: model, configuration and commercial terms are confirmed in writing before anything is committed.
